Eurosonic Noorderslag Poster 2012
Ok, ok, I realize that as I am writing this, the whole event is over and done with. But hey, I just had to write something about this.
How did I get here in the first place? That actually is quite a story. Let me start at the beginning. During the edition of last year, FRET magazine asked me to take some pictures for that edition of the mag. So I did. As I was there I also worked on a project of my own. I created images with Dutch artists holding up a sign with “I Love” printed on it. To see that series of images, follow this link.
One of the live images I took from one of those bands (Ens, Zwei Orchestra) was noticed by the organization. Later that year (mid 2011) I received a call from the Eurosonic-Noorderslag organization if I would sell the image. I say I would, but under one condition: They’d had to hire me as a photographer as well.
That is how I got involved with this organization.
